Flame retardant nylon modified particles are polymer materials modified by specific processing technology on the basis of ordinary nylon particles by adding flame retardant and other additives. It has been widely used in many fields and has the following advantages:
Excellent flame retardant performance: This is the most prominent advantage of flame retardant nylon modified particles. By adding efficient flame retardants, such as halogen, phosphorus, nitrogen and other flame retardants, it has a good flame retardant effect, can prevent or delay the combustion of materials to a certain extent, and reduce the possibility and hazard of fire. Some flame retardant nylon modified particles can even reach UL94 V-0 grade (under the specified test conditions, the sample is tested twice for 10 seconds, and the flame is extinguished within 30 seconds. It can meet the application scenarios with high fire safety requirements, such as electronic appliances, automobiles, aerospace and other fields.
Good mechanical properties: nylon itself has high strength, rigidity and toughness, after modification, flame retardant nylon modified particles can still maintain good comprehensive mechanical properties. For example, its tensile strength, flexural strength and impact strength and other indicators can meet the needs of most engineering applications. In some parts that need to withstand large mechanical stress, such as the parts around the automobile engine, the shell of electronic equipment, etc., the flame retardant nylon modified particles can provide flame retardant protection while ensuring the structural strength and stability of the components.
High thermal stability: it has good thermal stability and can maintain the stability of performance under higher temperature environment. Its thermal deformation temperature is higher, that is, under a certain load, the temperature of the material when the thermal deformation occurs is higher, which makes it can be used in some high temperature environments, such as parts in the engine compartment of the car, heat dissipation components of electronic appliances and so on. In addition, the modified particles of flame retardant nylon are not easy to decompose at high temperature to produce harmful gases, which further improves their safety and reliability in high temperature environments.
Good processing performance: similar to ordinary nylon, flame-retardant nylon modified particles have good processing performance, can be molded by injection molding, extrusion, blow molding and other common plastic processing methods. It has good fluidity and can be filled in the mold to produce various parts with complex shapes. Moreover, its molding cycle is short, the production efficiency is high, which is beneficial to reduce the production cost.
Strong chemical corrosion resistance: it has good tolerance to many chemical substances, such as acid, alkali, salt, oil, etc. In some chemical, petroleum, food processing and other industries, equipment and pipelines may be exposed to various chemical substances. Parts made of modified particles of flame retarding nylon can effectively resist chemical corrosion and prolong the service life of equipment.
Good electrical insulation performance: with good electrical insulation performance, it is one of the commonly used materials in the field of electronic appliances. It can be used to manufacture a variety of electronic components, electrical housing, connectors, etc., which can effectively prevent current leakage and short circuit, and ensure the safe operation of electronic equipment. Moreover, the electrical insulation properties of the flame-retardant nylon modified particles can remain stable under different environmental conditions, such as temperature and humidity.
Better environmental protection performance: with the continuous improvement of environmental protection requirements, some flame retardant nylon modified particles use environmentally friendly flame retardants, such as halogen-free flame retardants. These halogen-free flame retardants do not produce toxic and harmful hydrogen halide gas when burning, reducing the harm to the environment and human health. At the same time, the modified particles of flame retardant nylon also have certain recyclability, which can be recycled and reprocessed to make new plastic products, reducing the waste of resources and environmental pollution.
